As @Ryan Dossey said, List Source is definitely one of the best around. That's who we use for the majority of our leads.
Addresses that have "been around for a while" is exactly who you want to be sending to. Leads are either going to fit your criteria or they're not. If they do, then they will end up on your list. No list provider offers exclusive lists, as they are all public records.

Hi @Willny Guifarro, if sending a yellow letter do not put your email or web address on it. Those are made to look personal and less professional so putting that information actually reduces the response. If doing anything else, like a postcard, typed letter or ZipLetter, you can absolutely put that information on there. We typically recommend using a service that allows you to use multiple phone numbers (we use ring central) so that you can use a different phone number on each mail piece in order to track your results.
When starting out it is important to test your market with different mail pieces to see what works best. And since people will call in months after a mailing, the only way to really do that is to use different phone numbers.
We have a letter i believe may be similar to what Jill is talking about however it is in one of our ZipLetter formats and it's working pretty well.

Is there a reason you're trying to "blast" an entire neighborhood? What is your goal?

You'll want to pull a list with specific criteria. mailing area wide using EDDM would be a waste of money. This is the criteria we recommend:
- 30% or more equity
- SFR
- 4 Year ownership
- 2-4 Bedrooms
- 65% Absentee including Trusts and Corps
- 35% Owner Occupieds Not including Trusts or Corps
We have hundreds of templates btw.

In all seriousness though, it does not matter too much. If mailing locally I would avoid mailing on Thursday or Friday just so your mail doesn't hit on Saturday. If using a service, you can test and decide if you like specific days over others. Most just want their mail out as soon as possible.
Postage will also affect delivery. First class is typically 3-5 days to hit the mail boxes while standard can take 3-30. So when using standard mail there really isn't a way to estimate it without testing. With first class, if we mailed on a Friday you can expect it to be delivered anywhere early the next week.

We send mostly postcards to the big pools like absentees, sr. citizens, etc. Letters cost 2x the cost of postcards, so we can reach a lot more homeowners for the same budget by using postcards, and they work well with our brand.
Even Cody's YellowLetters.com has super nice postcards and innovative "non-yellow letter" pieces such as their Zip Letters which are very cool and cost effective. So, no, everything need not be a yellow letter in this business!
Heck Dev, we even have Pink and white "Yellow Letters".

@Robbie Knecht Great job on taking action! Stay consistent and switch up your mail piece. Not everyone responds to the same mail piece; so sending yellow letters, ZipLetters, professional letters, postcards, and greeting cards will get you the best overall value.

On your letters, use a colored envelope to stand out. Almost everyone uses a plain white or beige.
