Post: Direct Mail: Postcards v. Yellow Letters

Postcards are much cheaper but only bring in about a .5% response, however the calls that do come in are usually quality calls. Yellow Letters typically bring in about an 8-10% response rate but those calls are a mixture of tire kickers and quality calls. Zip Letters work really well as they bring in the quality of calls that postcards do and have an average response rate of 1-3%. So it depends what you mean by "better results", any one of those mail pieces have the possibility of bringing in a deal. Its a matter of timing, touches, and seller motivation.

Hit your list at least 6 times and switch up your mail piece.

@Derek Gutekunst Don't do it. It may seem cost effective per piece, however it is wayyy more expensive.  For every house you mail to that does not match the criteria you are looking for, it is a complete waste of money. Lets say you mail 1000 pieces EDDM and only 10 houses meet your criteria, you've just wasted 990 pieces of mail and all the money associated with those pieces. Your other option is to pay a little more and pull a list of 1000 homes that actually meet your criteria, and mail to them.

Best bandit sign I've seen:

There was one that said "I Buy Houses Fast" right below that someone else had put one that said "I Buy Houses Faster". I got a good laugh out of it.

Post: Mailer Help: What To Do If You Get a Letter Returned?

@Neema Fotoohi Tom is correct, as long as your mail is first class, the Post Office will automatically forward the mail (if there is a forwarding address on file). However you will almost always get returned mail regardless due to bad addresses, no forwarding address or the Post Office just being lazy.
