Post: Just submitted my first mailer campaign!

It has been a fairly long time coming, but I am dipping my toes in it.

My wife and "drove for dollars" a couple of weekends ago, wrote down addresses and I just submitted my mailer list.

I have also been walking the streets, knocking on doors and placing post its if no one answers.  We have gotten pretty good results from this. Out of 5 post its I have gotten 3 call backs and two leads.

I am cautiously optimistic about what the initial results of all this will be, keeping in mind that this is a process/marathon and not a sprint.

Thanks to the BP community for getting me to this point!

Now on to continue my research for my first buy/hold...that too is a process.

Chris

Do you have any input on long term/annual anticipated property tax increases for the Columbus, OH region?

I know this can be a difficult factor to calculate, but any input for including this in a deal analysis would be helpful.

Thanks, Chris

@Joseph Weisenbloom

This is great, thanks. You would not happen to have the same info for Ohio schools would you? That is where I am buying. Specifically the greater Columbus area.

@Mary lou L.

Thank you for the suggested link. I have used Greatschools.net. It is a very good resource.

@Andrew Mackiewicz

Savannah is gorgeous. We live in Seattle but got married in Savannah.

I don't know anything about the RE market in Savannah, but they do have a number to colleges in the area, and a hip/cool, younger crowd that I am sure are doing a lot of renting.

I would start calling property managers in the area and discuss what it is you are looking for.

If you are looking to work with a real estate agent, ask the property managers you speak with for referrals.

And, of course, reach out to the BP community in the Savannah area:

Good luck, Chris
