@Lucy Iburg there are a lot of good suggestions for this on a local Facebook group called millennial investor focus group.

@Toby Khan also you can call the assessors office and see what info they have. If the info is not updated you may not want them inside the property. There was multiple times I would go into a property and be like "ope we didn't know there was an update kitchen or a finished basement or a second bath." And then their value jumps up instead of drops. So be careful especially since you think your value is low already.

@Toby Khan yeah not a problem. Each jurisdiction is different. When I was an assessor for a city we had our local boards and nobody really came but people would call and complain and the first thing we would do is say we need to make an appointment to see the property. That stopped most phone complaints

@Tim Swierczek I believe I commented on his Facebook post but I will paste my comment here too.

There is an appeal process. They have hearings every spring to let concerned tax payers voice their opinion. Call the county see when there's is and tell them you want to appeal your value. The first thing they will do (theoretically) is visit your property and view all information. But judging on your comment that it is already undervalued they most likely won't lower it and it could get increased.

@Michael Ludwig I would 100% echo what @Corey Hawkinson said.
