@Jason Grote awesome! Thanks for reaching out. Let me know if Jan 18th at 7 works for you. Of course you can speak on anything you want but I bet people would be interested to hear about an interesting flip or valuabe lesson learned. 

@Doug Watts and I have been setting up real estate meetups for the past 6 months or so and are at the point where inviting speakers to our monthly meetup would be the next step in growing this group to a sizable audience that can bounce ideas off one another and provide help to others who may be dealing with a situation that someone else has already been through and came out ahead, or learned a valuable lesson. I am seeking other investors in the Austin area (meetups are held in SW Austin) who would be interested in speaking at one of these meetups on a particular topic of their choice such as financing, locating deals, flip strategies, market analysis, commercial loans, etc..

Real estate meetup for those of us in the South Austin area that would like to discuss past successes and any questions with others who may have done similar projects in the past. Typically we talk about real estate in the Austin area and surrounding area.  Previously, we have had table discussions and ran ideas by one another but we are working to get speakers to come in and give short presentations on different topics. Interested in a couple REO's in this area that will rent well with minimal cosmetic updates. I'm not overly familiar with the details in Temple but know about the market and area from a broad perspective. I'm looking in the area shown below in the red highlight but specifically on the SW side of the city center near HWY 35 and the Loop. Any locals or investors in Temple care to help me out a bit here? Much appreciated.

Hey Fellow Investors:

Once a month meetup for those living in South Austin, Buda, Kyle, Dripping Springs, San Marcos or surrounding areas to discuss what they are doing, network with other like minded people and share ideas/projects. Moving this from the normal third Thursday of each month to the last Thursday due to Thanksgiving. We have had some great people show up and new ones are attending at each meetup.
