I completely agree with Andrew...as a mentor....I am much more willing to work with someone that brings value to the table.  That value is a deal or money for a deal.  Don't come to me with no value for my business and expect to get mentored for free, sorry just isnt going to happen.

Welcome to BP and the RE game.  I think since you are just looking to get into real estate that having your license wouldn't be a bad idea for you.  Obtaining the license itself really doesn't teach you anything other then how to pass a test, but if you actually use the license it can be very helpful to newcomers.  If you want to invest in real estate then after obtaining your license you should look to work with investors.  You will learn from them personally what they look for when they are buy and holding or fix and flipping.  You can count me as your first investor (fix n flip).  Keep me posted!
