I am not nervous since I already have a full time job and real estate is a side gig.   I haven't been interviewed for over 14 1/2 years so I will probably need to prep a bit.  I thought brokerage firms would accept anyone who can fog a mirror but I guess I'm wrong.

I wasn't rejected but I was just wondering.  I have an interview with one this Wednesday and he mentioned that they wanted to know if I am a good fit for their firm.

Is it common for a brokerage firm to reject a licensee who wants to hang his or her license there?

I am looking to hang my license at a brokerage firm in Orange County CA that specializes in distressed properties.  I am hoping to learn how to buy properties using creative seller financing (AITD, lease options, subject to, etc).  If you have any recommendations, please let me know.

Hi Jason,  sure you can add me to your list.  [email protected]

By the way, thank you for sending me those practice questions for the state exam.  I don't think I would have passed without them.  The exam questions were more difficult than I expected.

What is the average cost to gain MLS access in Southern CA? Also, what is the lowest annual fee you have seen to join a brokerage firm with MLS access? Thanks.

I have a couple of newbie questions.

1. How many different MLS websites are there for CA?

2. When you join a brokerage firm, do you only have access to their MLS website?

In addition to listing properties, I am looking to wholesale properties.  I have heard that some brokerage firms are not familiar with wholesaling but the investor friendly ones welcome it.

Joe - I will send you a message shortly.

I just passed my CA real estate exam and I'm looking for an investor friendly brokerage firm in Orange County CA.  I am working in real estate on my spare time so my income will be minimal.

What kind of fees should I expect to be paying on average?

I will probably call a few brokerage firms in my area to see how their flat-fee MLS listing (if any) works.
