@Eric Hrlbock, yes I'd love to come to the meeting. The one in Kingston is free to attend as well, just a great networking event with guest speakers/education (no one trying to sell anything) as well. Looking forward to meeting up!

@Eric Hrlbock Hey Eric, would love to connect! There's already a group that meets in Poughkeepsie (mid hudson valley reia) that meets every 3rd Wednesday, and there's also a new meet up in Kingston (my main area of investment) that just started. Its called the Ulster County Real Estate Investors Group and meets every 4th Thursday in Kingston at Artbar, and the group can be found on facebook under UCREIG. Let me know if you want more info, or what you have planned, would love to connect and discuss helping you reach your goals.

Hi BP Friends,
I'm an investor in the Kingston NY area, and take pride in finding & helping motivated sellers with solutions for properties they must part with. I encounter many different types of deals (distressed properties, minor rehabs, major rehabs, SFR, Multifamily, etc.), many of which do not fall under my specific acquisition criteria or purposes for my business, or sometimes I'm just spread too thin to take them on. I'm hoping to find other local investors who may be interested in these great deals, either as a buyer or JV partner. I am NOT looking to build a huge list of cash buyers, only a handful of qualified, professional investors I can share deals with on an ongoing basis. If interested, please let me know or message me and we can discuss opportunities that would benefit all parties. Thanks!

Hey Daniel! Sounds like you're really on your way. Are you focused just in Hudson? If no, what are your areas of interest? I'm an investor in Kingston and would love to learn more about your business and see if there's a way we can help each other. We have a lot in common. Feel free to message me to start a conversation if you'd like...

@Megan S. I think @John Hickey made some excellent points. I would definitely visit Newburgh a few times (talk to locals) before getting serious, as it's VERY "rough around the edges" and you should know what you're getting yourself into, especially if planning on living there. Investing for cashflow would work, but living or expecting to see appreciation may not be as attractive. Depends on what you want. Cornwall, Cold Spring and Beacon are all beautiful and great, and pricey/difficult to cashflow. Kingston is up and coming and my particular area of interest. It's a little far from the city, but it has a lot of city/brooklyn influence and vibe. Great place to live if you aren't commuting, and the numbers can work.

Hi Megan! I'm in that market, and there are opportunities to BRRR in each of those cities you mentioned. Will you be managing the entire process from Oregon? Do you have "boots on the ground?" Curious to know more about your strategy so I can best offer some help if possible...
Post: hard money lender recommendations- Kingston NY, Ulster County

Hi Friends,
I'm wondering if anyone has a good hard money source, or similar loan type, recommendations for investments in Ulster County NY, specifically the Kingston NY area . I've got most of my ducks in a row after developing relationships and a good education on the market, and I'm ready to move forward on some great deals that require cash to purchase and varying degrees of rehab. (SFR, 1-4 units and possibly some small commercial 5-12 units). Exit could be a flip, but more likely/preferred is the brrrr strategy. Any info, tips or leads would be greatly appreciated!
