There is a Real Estate Recovery Fund.  Call the Alabama Real Estate Commission for details but that money is there to protect the public in the event of fraud.

As far as I know they are not a training company.  I could be wrong though.  I think you will be hard pressed to find a training company anywhere in the country that can specialize all over the US.  This business is so market specific and even neighborhood specific at times.  If you are looking for assistance learning the markets, I suggest you find a local expert and speak with them about ideas to get started.

@Ann Howell thanks for sharing your experience.  I can say you have been  through an experience only the best can provide.  I too was taken for that ride a few years ago and can sympathize.  There are many victims in this wake and unfortunately with litigation the way it is, free speech is not so free. We all must do our part to keep each other safe.  Kudos to you for this post.

I don't imagine there is much of a market there.  I'd be very careful as you are such a long distance landlord in this case.  You should call some local realtors and ask how the housing market is going.
