Listen to every single BP Podcast. You will have everything you need for a decent foundation. After that you can fill in the gaps. I was able to quit my job with 3 kids, but I had 2 years worth of savings and my house was paid off, so my transition was extremely conservative. Don't know your situation though. I would caution against most "guru" courses, although I know some great investors that do have coaching programs. Find local full time investors in your area and get them out to lunch as quickly as you can. Go to work for them like @Kris Bennett said. Let me know if you have any questions.

Howdy, Howdy fellow BP'ers!!! 

Make sure to mark your calendars for this month's REI meetup next Tuesday, June 13th at 6:30 at Hickory Tavern in Southern Pines. We will have an enjoyable time of networking, sharing deals, stories, and great food per the norm! Seriously guys, if you haven't been out to the local meetup you are missing out on a good time. Food, drinks, and casual conversation is what it's all about here. No pitching of anything, just come on out to get to know the local investors here in the Moore County area.

@Account Closed Yes there will be, so look out for the post that should be coming on later today. It's always the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 at Hickory Tavern. Occasionally we've held it at a house in the process of being flipped for special format, but we will have it posted if there is something like that going on.

@Connie Bhimireddy, I will add you guys to the list definitely for the next one. The meetup is honestly really casual, so there are no notes. I am going to be getting more organized with tracking who comes and what not, but it's mostly just a time to hang out and maybe make a deal with some laid back networking! We will look forward to hopefully seeing you guys at the next one!

Hey Moore County Investors! It's almost time for our monthly meet-up. I believe we are going to have a great turn-out after talking with quite a few investors who are planning to come. Whether you haven't missed a single meet-up or it's your first visit, I'm sure it will be worth your time. It's always great to talk with other investors, network, brainstorm, learn, or just hang out with other like minded people.

hey Troy, I can't help with southern Raleigh, but I do invest here in Moore county. We just had our monthly meetup last Tuesday. Be on the lookout for the next scheduled meetup next month. If you ever want to grab coffee or anything feel free to hit me up. On another note, N ridge st house is definitely Not for newer investors, it's only real value is the land. Its a total tear down I haven't even checked to see if it's on market anymore, but it was listed for less on MLS than what it was listed on here for. Kinda irks me when people try to markup listed properties as if they are actually their deals. Anyway, Let me know if I can help with anything.
