@Joseph Mazuz I forgot to say that you need to watch out for anybody selling you anything in life, especially when you're out of state. Some people are very shady and will say anything to get you to buy from them. They will make an area sound amazing or skew comps to make their deal look like the best.
Good luck,
Jeb

Hi @Joseph Mazuz and welcome to BP. There are several wholesalers that are good and even more who are fly by night and have terrible reputations. I don't recommend people publicly but if you DM me I'll share who I like with you.

Hi @Anna Bielawski,
I can give you the name of the appraiser who just lowballed me on an appraised value and rent if that would help. ;)

Hi @Stanley A., Indianapolis is my city of choice for this kind of thing. It's been pretty good to me over the years. If you want to talk about areas or who to work with versus steer clear from I'm happy to chat.
Have a good weekend and good luck,
Jeb

@Collyn Bennett If you DM me we can connect and I'll be happy to share with you, I just don't refer people publicly bc my opinion of folks sometimes changes and what we put on here is pretty permanent.

@Tony M Batiste Welcome to BP. I'm a full time out of state investor in Indiana, mainly Indianapolis and areas within an hour of the city. I highly recommend getting to know the area and reading the forums as well as listening to the BP podcast.
When you're ready if you need some contacts there don't hesitate to hit me up.
Good luck,
Jeb

@Collyn Bennett I was referring more to a wholesalers buyers list. If you get on their lists they'll send you the deals they get and you'll have the opportunity to buy from them. If you need some names of wholesalers I can refer a few and suggest a few to stay away from.

@Florian Kuehne If you DM me I'll share my 2 favorite inspectors with you. One even includes what he thinks it will cost to repair everything. I just don't make recommendations publicly bc it's too permanent and my opinions change about people.

Hi @Caleb Jones and welcome. BP is how and why I got started in real estate myself. I invest in Indy from out of state.
May I suggest the Ultimate Beginners Guide to Real Estate Investing https://www.biggerpockets.com/guides/ultimate-real-estate-investing-guide/introduction
Also the podcast is probably the biggest wealth of knowledge about real estate in the world. There's thousands of years of experience on there.
If you have any questions about investing in Indy hit me up.
Good luck,
Jeb
