@Account Closed I LOVE this idea. I have several veterans in my family, even my mom and think this is a great way to make their lives a little more pleasant while serving. Do you invest near Carswell or stick to bases with more full time members vs reserves?

Thanks for sharing. I grew up in Fort Worth and relocated to Houston about 5 years ago when I got married. New to the investing game and am thinking about investing in both Fort Worth AND Houston. My main goal is not to have major cash flow on a monthly basis...more so just wanting some properties that make sense and that I can hand off to my daughter when the time comes.
College rentals are high on my radar, havent done much research on it yet but it is certainly on my list. My nephew will be attending college in about 18 months, a niece will follow in a few years then my daughter...seems like something worth looking into!

@Belinda Lopez I would love to attend a meeting. Is there somewhere I can see dates/times/locations?
@Jared Vidales while I dont know first hand I do read BP A LOT, I've seen many people posting problems getting rid of flooded properties, both selling and renting. Seems most homes are rehabbed and hitting the market around the same time so lots of listings even on the same street coupled with the fact that lots of Houstonians fear returning to an area that flooded even once...much less multiple times. There are lots of posts about this, the first hand info might be more helpful than mine.

Hey Everyone! I know this is an old post but it was very valuable for me, thank you for that!
For those that commented with the suggestion of CL ads...can you elaborate a little bit on that? What kind of content are you posting exactly?

I've been told that same thing (different variations of course) by several people. I initially was against using my picture on business cards or advertising, but was talked into by the same theory you just mentioned...

@Greg F. do you mind if I ask WHY you wanted to sell your property? I am looking to buy in that area and am wondering if you saw red flags or had issues there?
