@Eric R.

 I was in Korea for almost 5 years. I started out down south in Gyeongju.

Then moved to Cheonan.

When you want to mention someone type @ and then start to write their name.

It's the best way for them to know you mentioned them in the forum.

Post: Depreciation on Home with Farm Land

Here is the situation. My brother is about to close on his first piece of farmland used mostly for grazing cattle.

The sell also includes a house that the current owners are living in.

My brother has his own home already. And he is considering renting the home or moving his family into the home. Then either selling or renting his current home.

Since the Farmland includes a house. How would this depreciate? Do they figure out what the house is worth separately?

The current home he owns and lives in, if he started to rent that home, how would depreciation work since he has lived there for almost 4 years?

I am trying to advise my brother on the best course of action.

Thank you in advance.

I just left Korea where we have the Seoul REI meet up. You should check it out when you get there.

http://www.meetup.com/Seoul-REI-Meetup/members/?so...

I also maybe moving to Louisville for a hob depending on how the interviews go.

I would say study for the test but are you going to use it while away?

You will have to pay the membership fees.

@Branden

Welcome to bigger pockets.

I am from Southern Illinois and just moved back from Korea where I helped start the Seoul real estate investors meet up

You can check it out here.  http://www.meetup.com/Seoul-REI-Meetup/members/?so...

Where you are from in southern Illinois really dictates where and how you would invest.

@Daniel Ryu

 another great write up

Gutted I am no there anymore.

Keep me posted.

@Orlando Andujar

Where are you located in Korea?

We have a few members interested in Real Estate across Korea.

Maybe you set something up privately.

Also feel free to message me or @Daniel Ryu

 privately if you have questions about the meetup.

Dan is a great guy to talk to.

@Jose Perez

@Nick Patterson

@Cliff Odom

@Dale Stevens

I am in down state. Four hours South of Chicago. Where things are more conservative and landlord friendly. I have been told it only takes 2 weeks to evict in our area.

Also it looks like things are going to work out with out the eviction.

@Orlando

since you are in Korea you should come to the Seoul REI meetup.

we have active military members who are also investors.

i can't  tag them since I am using my phone now but they are some pretty great people.

we meet monthly to talk about real estate.
