@John Wells This is a great place to network. I have learned a lot and I am making appointments to meet up with people that I have met on here. Try to attend the webinars on Wednesdays. They have valuable information in them. You can also search through the old threads in the community section and read the questions and answers. Welcome and good luck.

@Marcus Dunlap Attend the weekly webinars on this site every Wednesday. Different topic every week. They have a lot of valuable information in them. Go into the community section and read the old threads. You can decide which topics you are interested in and read the questions and answers at your own pace. This is a great place to start.

@Keith Jourdan Nicely done! That flooring is great. Looks like you matched the kitchen and bath.

No it will work just about anywhere. But the disclaimer to that is, it still has to be the right deal. There is a webinar about house hacking and there is a lot of info on here about that topic. You still want the property to cash flow properly, preferably at or above 12% and have some equity in the property when you purchase it. Keep reading and learning, and you will find the way.

@Eric Brinson I believe it is a matter of preference. You have to decide what your goals are and find out how much time you can spend taking the steps needed to work on your chosen path in real estate investing. From what I have read on here I think the best way to start is house hacking. Basically buy a duplex triplex or 4-plex and live in one unit and rent out the others. That will teach the basics of real estate ownership and real estate management. But again that is just one man's opinion.
