Dan,
Shoot me an email and I can refer someone in wayne county for you to talk to. He and I just had lunch a few weeks back, and he seemed to have a pretty good handle on the process. From what I heard, it is pretty difficult at best to get a property unless you can dedicate several days of time.

David,
I would contact Cambridge Underwriters in Livonia. I recommend talking to Ken Hale and his team on asset protection. They deliver a free assessment of your business, and have clients like Kid Rock, Joe Dumars, Dave Bing, and Dan Gilbert. They understand liability protection like no other.

Some great suggestions and examples on here. Thanks for the $8 half price idea Christie.
To answer MikeOH, I can personally say I have visual goals posted all over my house and between my fiance and I, we have accomplished 18 of the 20 goals we set to accomplish in 1 year, and that was 9 months ago. We are working on #19 and #20 right now, and we will be sitting down in Bora Bora in two months to set new goals together!!

One of my clients posed this question to me, and because we never deal in mortgages, I am at a lose. Can anyone provide insight into the VA housing loans to land contract.
"My tenant in the Lyndon House is a veteran's widow. This year new funds have been allocated to the VA for housing loans. This tenant is interested in buying the house under this VA home guaranty home loan program. Do you know anything about this program? And if so, can I sell her the house on a land contract and the Va guaranties the loan and pays me this monthly payment?"

you should think about creating a free blog using wordpress software. That way you can showcase properties and share your insights in one spot.

I'm suprised no one has replied to this yet.
I have yet to hear of tenants being billed bi-weekly, unless they set the terms. We have one tenant that pays us bi-monthly, because that is when her gov't assistance comes in, so we work with her.
Its not like a mortgage to get that extra rent, I think that might be a fast way to develop a reputation with tenants as trying to get slick and make extra money. I would say its not worth it!
