@Joe Fairless

thank you for reaching out if this happens i will reach out to you.

@Darrin Carey

thank you for sharing your ideals. i wasn't sure how good of a response this would get and i'm glad to see i'm not the only one who would see great value in having a podcast.

@Federico Gutierrez

I have not yet i'm working on getting a consistent amount of deals first before i take on that expense and since my main focus is investors i will probably have a little bit of a modified approach to what my assistant would be doing. how about you?

@Account Closed

like somebody else had said if they are doing the ignite program there i would do that and take the training classes they have. those classes will help you get a better ideal of how to become a better agent and will give you an understanding of what you really need to know to be a great agent. the state exam is mostly written by a lawyer so while its great to be aware of the rules and laws which is very important it wont do you any service when it comes to making deals happen.  which office are you at ?

Pick up the book by Gary Keller called the millionaire real estate agent if you don't already have it when I had joined KW in Michigan I got a copy of the book. This will help you break down your goals and create the systems you would need to really scale faster.

here is a link to a post i started last night about possibly doing a podcast and what everybody would like to hear about if it was to happen.

https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/25/topics/272...

share your thoughts on that post we all saw what josh had said if there was enough interest he would consider bringing the military section back in this thread let's create something here that this time around to make it last. With all the things that has been going on in the military i believe a rather large amount are starting to think about handling their own retirement since it seems like almost daily they take something away.

@Matt Musser

that is a great ideal for a topic to help others understand that we can and do know how to apply our experiences to the outside world but it normally gets discounted. When you in the military you don't get the choice of not dealing with people that's not an option it's a necessity and really taught me how to understand and work with a much larger number of people.

@Elizabeth Colegrove @Bryan C. @Chris Mason

Tag anybody you know that would like this and might have some ideas to share. This would be the biggest help since it was an ideal i had last night to gain some real traction with this.

I think the best way that we can see this happening is by getting a lot of people to respond to this post to get josh and brandon's attention.

@William Allen

like what ideas you shared and being looked at your crazy is something everybody deals with but with being in the military more times than not the amount of criticism is much stronger and often. It also doesn't help that like you had said the thought process of having stay in keep the SECURITY of having a paycheck and what do you like you do on the outside i was only in for 4 years and they tried really hard to make me give up on getting out and settle for what i already had.

The fact that there is a pretty large community on here and a great amount of previous and current military background to help with that support and give more specific answers to some of the things you have stated that you just can't ask the guy next to you since even a lower amount of people in the military invest in real estate.

@Angela Hollis

people thought i was crazy getting out of the navy in 2011 but i had seen to much of the writing on the wall. Great people who have gave 16-18 years of their life to this country to only be told here is a severance package and then no pension, they should have got rid of the younger ones that don't want to be in. Since they don't have very much knowledge or leadership experience yet.

Anytime i would talk to people about what i wanted to do at the time which was own my own car shop (funny how things change over time) they would give me that same look your talking about.

I never got any financial education while i was growing up and barely got any once i was in so i have learned about how to manage money the hard way. I could have used my VA loan for sure and had a couple of investments if i had ran across this website sooner by the time i got out.

@Elizabeth Colegrove

Agreed completely the whole part of me putting the "THINKING" comment in there was becuase they dont like you to think in terms of why are we doing this and how come we don't try this to improve on it or whenever somebody thinks of a process of doing things its shot down before it has the chance to show its real value.
