@Les Goss Ive been thinking about it in the Bay area as well. Do you plan on having an online webinar (audio only) for other people to join when you have the local meetup ? (That will be more fun). Lets stay connected.

The property was through auction.com and my realtor called me this morning to let me know that the property is vandalized. We had wired the funds already and waiting for the seller to reply back.

Talking to the neighbors, my realtor told me that the property was vandalized 3-4 weeks ago approx and the police were called. ( 3 people were arrested at the property). At an initial investigation, copper plumbing has been removed and some more damages to the property. This is in Milwaukee.

Anyone been through this before ? What are my options now?

I am looking for an attorney referral from the Jefferson county, WI. Any suggestions please ?

Thanks

Pari

@Alin Toncz Like Wayne said, the title company may not be setup to do the search for out of state properties.

What you can do is, start building relationships with the local title company where you want to purchase a property and sometimes they can do this for free !. It worked for me :) In return, use their services for your closing. win-win !

Hi @Sam Erickson, I do see the forms that are needed in the appeals and assistance website. If you have done that before, can you please tell me what other supporting docs that i should provide ? I want to make my case stronger and want to apply for it once and do it right the first time.

I bought a SFR in auction. Property tax bill that i see online (not yet received the papers though) is almost double the value of what i purchased for. I dont see any comparables in this area for that assessed value. Anyone successfully appealed the property tax and won ?

Any help on the steps to take is greatly appreciated.

Hi @Bob E. The property is in on 53207. Its a 4 bedroom/1.5 bath. And we gave it some finishing touches to the attic to make it an extra room. Asking price is 145K.

It is a great piece of information to know that the banks are not lending much on the under 100K homes.
