@Joe Splitrock

It's easy to cherry-pick a speech to make it sound bad, just to prove a point. But can you do the same thing with the entire speech, taken in context, and come to the same conclusion?

@Jonathan Nelson welcome to BP, be sure to check out the Education tab for more valuable insight into real estate investing.

You can check on Portland Maps to see if the lot is actually two lots, which would mean that you would only have to go through a property line confirmation and maybe an adjustment, rather than a partition, which is much less costly and time-consuming. I'm in the process of a property line partition in SE and it been quite an experience.

Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

Good luck.

@Jay Hinrichs, how about if you get your transactional funding from a private lender? A friend or associate that only makes loans to people he or she knows. Is there a limit as to how many loans a private lender can make in a given year? I'm talking Oregon here?

Hi @Lynn Gadd, I just sent you a request to connect. I've moved on to a new brokerage firm, but can give you a couple of ideas of other firms with which I'm familiar that are transaction only. Maybe we can meet for a coffee or something to talk. I also live in Beaverton.
