Hi David- if the area you are looking has a realtors association you could check their website as it may contain some stats of interest. Also, a realtor who knows how to use their area's MLS could also pull this info for you. Good luck!

I put up curtain rods and the tenant provides their own curtains. This minimizes all kinds of holes in my walls/trim and and frequent replacement of blinds. This works for me.

I think fear is the lesser of two evils. In my mind, fear can be dealt with and overcome by taking action, being inspired, or becoming more educated. I see greed more as a character trait that is harder to get rid of. Great questions!

Cousin Brian, greetings from Fredericksburg, VA! I have a vacation property in Sandbridge (near VA Beach) and we have a great property management group there. This has made all the difference. We pay a premium for their services but it worth it to us. They market the property, handle inquiries and rental contracts, repairs, and upkeep. If you can find someone to do that for you I think it is worth it. Best wishes!
