Hotel lobbyist are most likely fueling this as well. I know in my other market Vegas they are cracking down hard on STR that are not in proper zoning and or don;t have the proper licensing. Hitting owners with $1,000 a day fines adds up quick.

This one is not gated my friend but it is a small community with a lot of cul de sacs so there Is very little thru traffic. Hope all is well.

Also $4000 is insane for a SDIRA and LLC.

LLC is less than a $1000 and a SDIRA is $300 - $400 to setup.

Is the LLC really needed for a self directed IRA?

Can't the SDIRA buy a property in the name of the IRA and then when you sell all proceeds go back to the SDIRA (which would be taxed later when withdrawn)? I would assume you want the LLC for liability purposes but I am not sure if it is needed.

Would like to hear more info on this topic.
