Just curious, what does one look for in an insurance agent to qualify them as a good agent?  I'm still new and don't know the difference much between one agent and another.  I usually just look at the costs of the plans being offered.  Would love to hear how you more experienced investors choose insurance policies.

Yes!  If you are going to buy it, take care of it.  As investors we have an obligation to the communities we are in.  Sorry this is happening to your neighborhood @Tiffani Baggett .

@Neil Goradia for one thing, the washington corridor has some retail that has cleaned up a lot and will likely attract some good businesses.  Also, Niedhammer coffee/cider shop on Washington, there is a public library as well as a puerto rican cafe.  It's definitely still a rough neighborhood. But I see promise.  As a millennial myself, I do want to be closer to downtown, but as an investor, I can't justify spending 200k+ on a fancy neighborhood that has already gentrified.  The numbers work, it's close to downtown, and there are some cool businesses already.  That's my 2 cents.

@Christy Harris is a wonderful agent.  She helped us buy two investment properties in Huntsville.  She really goes above and beyond.  Also, if you need a lender I recommend Tyler Wilson at Prime Lending.

I just sent you a list of whatever I could find on the MLS, although I'm sure there are more out there that never make it to the MLS. I am also interested to hear the answer to your question. Have you tried looking on Loop Net? I hear people say they occasionally find good deals on there, although I have also heard that is where commercial listings go to die haha.

Hi Mario,

I know at Neu for a while they had so many leads that they were having difficulty keeping up with the demand.  The team is growing and I don't believe you will have the same experience as @Darren Finney .  And I will make sure you get some follow up too, Darren, whether it is through myself or whoever you were previously working with.  Sorry that someone dropped the ball by not getting back to you.
