This is thread is EXTREMELY interesting - well done everyone. I just moved into my first house hack duplex less than 2 miles from ECU's campus. The prior owner had each 2BR/1BA side rented for $650 & $600 respectively. I think it comes down to a lack of education and proper market analysis for some property owners.

Great Jason - there are tenants in both sides as of right now so per my FHA loan I have to owner occupy it. Side A tenants are moving out within the two weeks and I will then officially start my house hack.
