@Dana Walker How far along are you so far in your seed capital search; Have you identified any optimal sources of seed funds thus far?

I was inspired by your post @Derrick Thomas, it would seem many people are interested in renting out tiny houses for easy cashflow. How do you plan to monetize tiny houses? In what market are you going to sell them?

I have no experience with seed capital crowdfunding, though I hear great things and many success stories among some younger colleagues. I would appreciate some further explanation on the topic before I feel it prudent to throw in judgement. 

I am curious as to whether anyone has any experience renting out tiny houses? Given a low cost of building, and if done in volume, this could be a viable solution. You could also use the rent from the first few units to fund expansion of your tiny house empire. How much seed capital you would require is beyond me, average cost of construction for a tiny house ranges from 4-80k. How fancy do you want to go? How much land does each unit require?

After reading an interesting thread on raising seed capital for tiny houses, I got to wondering whether anyone has experience renting tiny houses? How much does it cost to build a tiny house on average? How much, realistically, could you expect to charge in rent given a tiny-house friendly neighbourhood? Is this viable considering today's push away from the excess? Are there any states that are more tiny house friendly, or is this purely a rural-urban argument?

I accrued my first sum of seed capital while working in the service industry as a young man. So long as you have the drive, you can succeed. I understand that today's market is significantly more difficult to start in!
