Agreed, what other details can you supply on the situation? Do you have the seed capital to get the project accomplished yourself anyway, or are you desperate for the investment?

I have never heard of them, nor do I see any reliable sign on the Interwebs. Best steer clear. I don't think "Seed for Capital" is a valid business supplying seed capital services.

I firmly believe that blowing all your seed capital attempting to beat big farming in North America is going to be a losing cause. Pick a sector of REI that isn't quite so dominated, and I think you will find better success. Good Luck!

You may also wish to look at credit card financing for your seed capital requirements. I have been hearing of a lot of success in that department lately.

go with a lender who offers the benefits and consistency that you, as an investor are going to require. No use going with a terrible loan arrangement just because you are desperate with little seed capital, you will only find yourself in a rut in the long haul.

Wow, not much interest garnered on this topic! I would assume that good seed pedigree will enhance the value of your farmland, but unfortunately, much of the expensive monsanto seed is only good for one season. You can't re-propagate the plants. Correct me if I'm wrong in that please! Quality plants sourced from high quality, reproducable seed should do the trick.

@Account Closed Thank you for your candid response. I really don't want to lose my seed capital investment just due to poor staffing. I would rather it be from elements beyond my control if at all! Thanks.

I have regularly been seeing mortgage rates between 3.2-4.5% depending on your term. The average national rate in America is 3.87%.

I would focus on the basics, buy only what you can afford to lose. Avoid items and upgrades that will not net you a good return. Things like swimming pools have notoriously high installation costs and very low returns. Focus on things that will make your investment appreciate now, becuase if you need to sell right away, you need to know that you will won't lose.

There are quite a few innovative tech startups now offering savings apps, they round up and save the excess on every purchase you make. Seems like a great way to grow your savings with minimum effort, allowing you to focus more on making that money.
