@Kevin Lefeuvre, it's not even cancelling reservations, it's just declining reservations. But I agree that VRBO guest is pretty bad at vetting, and giving reviews isn't a common culture there apparently.

@Kevin Lefeuvre, don't you get warnings when you have too many declined reservations?
I do...

@Andy Whitcomb, wow congratulations. 15k profit a month is amazing.
Currently going with six 1BD/1BR apartments in my area doing this, definitely not getting anywhere near that.
I feel like my problem getting more profit will be getting into the multi bedroom apartments to get more money per bed.

Anybody on here renting out a storage spot? Needs to be in the Palo Alto/Mountain View area.
I'm looking to store linens and restocking supplies for my AirBnB vacation rentals, so needs to be in a somewhat controlled environment where bugs cant invade the linens. I'm not storing perishables, jsut bottled water and soap etc

@Rick Baggenstoss, I see. I guess my market is catering towards a different audience, namely business travelers. They just want in and out, and they're not looking for that nice relaxing vacation experience.

How big is your house? Keep in mind you'd be spending several thousand dollars furnishing a place for a weekend, maybe a week at best. Superbowl festivities don't last that long.
Will you be making enough for that week? Keep in mind that you may have to pay transient occupancy taxes too for your city.

Why do you offer a laundry service? I hope you're charging extra for that. I don't offer a laundry service, nor do my tenants expect fresh towels every other day or so. My long term multi month tenants just do the laundry in the laundry in the unit.
What kind of quality are you looking for from cleaning? I get pretty good cleaning service between $60-$100. They help me change the lock, clean the place, and even print out new welcome letters.
