Host fatigue, does that come from turn overs? Thank goodness my units in the summer were all 3 month+ contracts...

@Selena Walsh, how many units do you have? Wondering how good the pricing is for what you get, and when you hit a pain point.

@Avery Carl, I have strong suspicions this is dependent on where your vacation rental is and the type of people who are coming to the area.

@Michaela G. sounds terrible. I wonder what the other AirBnB hosts in the areas are like.

This is why I only do traveling professionals for my STRs. They come, looking for a bed to sleep on, and go to work most of the time and leave.

@Account Closed, I had that same mentality, until I got my systems in place and now my returns for the amount of work I put in is insane!

I'm still pretty new here but I thought buildings with 10+ units had to have a live in super, or one living really close by?

@Kevin Lefeuvre, after reading through some more of the posts, I think the right way to handle the situation is to set expectations correctly. Just tell them what it's like in this time of the year in LA regarding rolling brownouts, AC and the heat.

I find people are generally more accepting of that after they are told.

For example, one of my AirBnB units is in a complex thats going through some cosmetic renovations on the outside, and we had to go in and replace windows to double pane (eep!). I told them before hand that it might be happening and when the time came they were totally fine with it.

So I'm guessing only buildings with less than 10 units can participate?
