Your correct bge is still responsible to hook up service but you can shop power from several providers. Bge customer service has left a lot to be desired.

Have a question about taxes and closing cost. If you have property recorded before July 1st and don't pay taxes. When are they do on your new property? July 1st? Can you hold off and wait since I am flipping the property and pay on the back end when selling? Thanks

Definitely recommend the REI meet ups in your area. Set up key word searches to match your interest and what you may want more information on. Lastly and for me what was very beneficial is just to immerse yourself on the website and read read read!! Good luck with your goals.
