Thank you very much @Jeremy Ferguson. I agree completely with you regarding the psychology, and I should have done a better job qualifying my question:

What list of keywords have people been successful with for PPC marketing (in addition to the ones mentioned above)? Are there some good keywords that are less obvious that can bring in motivated sellers?

Can anyone using PPC (pay-per-click) recommend what's worked and what has not? Examples, phrases, target market, etc. (If there's a BP thread that lists some of the commonly used phrases - that would be great too.)

Thanks so much.

@J Scott @John Blackman @Tim Schmitz and anyone else that can help. We're in the process of converting our accounting from Excel to Quickbooks (although I would consider a different mainstream accounting platform).

Our businesses are: A) Fix-and-flip;  B) Buy-and-hold; and C) Management company (this company wholesales and manages only our properties). Each property and the management company has its own LLC/bank account.

  • Do you recommend using one or multiple Quickbooks accounts?
  • If multiple QB accounts: Do you recommend one QB account for each LLC? Or one QB account for the different business models?
  • If multiple QB accounts: My understanding is that on the Quickbooks Desktop version you can have multiple accounts, but on the QB Online you can only have one account?
  • If one QB account would suffice for our business: Is there a limit to the number of "classes"/sub-accounts you can set-up on Quickbooks Online?

Thanks so much in advance for all of your rec's and help. And for anyone wondering, yes I am a former CPA. :)

Our Connecticut meet-up has been rocking for the last few months, and we will be back for another FREE real estate meet-up at Anna Liffey's in Fairfield in the back room! (Mark your calendar for the last Wednesday of each month.)

Wed. April 29 @ 7pm in Fairfield, Connecticut

Last event was a great turnout with about 20 people and we would love if you can join (please post if you can).

The meet-up is from 7pm - 9pm, and around 7:30pm/7:45pm everyone will briefly introduce themselves to the group, and I would strongly recommend you make it for then.

Please note: there is no public pitching, no cost to attend, and no sponsor. Also, it's casual so dress however you feel most comfortable. My only request is that you buy at least one drink (non-alcoholic is fine) from the bar to support Anna Liffey's for allowing us to use their space.

We have had buy-and-hold investors, rehabbers, wholesalers, agents, commercial brokers, lenders, syndicators, attorneys, and other service professionals from all over the state of Connecticut.

[HELPFUL PARKING TIP:ANNA LIFFEY'S IS ACROSS THE STREET FROM VICTORIA'S SECRET, AND THERE IS A FREE PUBLIC PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET AFTER 7PM.]

If you're from any of these areas or know someone that is that might benefit from this meet-up, please invite them: Fairfield, New Haven, Hartford, Middlesex, New London, Stamford, Greenwich, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, Bridgeport, Stratford, Trumbull, Wilton, Weston, New Canaan, Easton, Milford, Shelton, Ansonia, Orange, West Haven, East Haven, Branford, Hamden, Naugatuck, Wallingford, Middletown, Cheshire, Woodbridge, Danbury, Newtown, Oxford, Southbury, Middlebury, Waterbury, New Britain, Bristol, Meriden, Southington, Newington, Madison, New London, Killingworth, Seymour, Plainville, Bethel, Redding, Guilford.
