Hey @Jordan Jettwelcome to BP you couldn't have picked a better location to get a nearly 100% free education on all things real estate investing. Are you new to Apex? Its a great part of the state, I live in Charlotte, but I'm sure that market will have some good opportunities for you once you get settled in. My advice would be listen to the podcast they are a wealth of knowledge and can often be utilized while doing something else (like my actual 9-5). Outside of that the forums are literally a gold mine of knowledge. Just hang around and you'll see the most novice investor getting feedback from seasoned pros. Best of luck to you and if you're in the Charlotte area anytime soon be sure to reach out!

Wow guys great convo. I don't know why it never dawned on me to do a direct mail campaign for multis! So forgive me for being shocked and amazed once again at the power of BP. Anyhow multi acquisition is still a little ways off for me but it is certainly in my big picture goals so why not start at least doing some low level research now. Thanks for all the tips, keep them coming!

Welcome to the States specifically Charlotte I think you'll really love it here. As was mentioned above check out the REIA's the one this Thursday should be a great opportunity just to meet people and there are almost always deals changing hands at these meetings so its another great way to just watch the business of real estate occur.
Good Luck!
Good Morning BP Nation,
Hope everyone is off to a fast start on this beautiful Monday morning (at least it is here in Charlotte NC). Anyhow I wanted to get some feedback from the family to see if I am the only one facing these two issues with my beloved BP.
1) When logged in through my IPad I receive alerts that my keywords are being discussed but when I "go to keywords" the page always loads as if there are no unread keyword alerts (however the "inbox" always reflects what I have or have not read).
2) Newest little snippet I noticed today is my dashboard is telling me I have an unread chat message. However, when I am logged in and go to my "chat" option I cannot see the message nor can I make the "red 1" go away over my chat icon.
Obviously neither of these are real make or break issues but I would love to get some type of traction on either one of them in that I feel more and more BP obsessed (in a good way @Joshua Dorkinso not to worry) and want to be able to utilize BP to fullest potential.
Thanks guys!

Hi @Cindi Boyerjust to give you some encouragement I know and work with a couple of California based investors who own and "manage" properties right here in the Charlotte area (just outside of Mooresville your target market). With a solid plan and the perk of having boots on the ground I think it can really be a solid move for you. Best of luck to you!

Hi @Shameecka Keyesas Mark said there are great resources here right under the resources tab. I don't know the specifics around your day to and/or your real estate goals but I personally how found I can maximize my efforts by listening to podcast while at my current 9-5 thus getting "paid" to further my knowledge regarding investing. Just a tip that worked for me though, best of luck to you!

Welcome to BP Brent! You've come to the right place to get a wealth of knowledge about the real estate industry as well as make some really tangible connections that will be imperative as you grow your career. My only advice post early and often people may never answer the question that isn't asked.
Welcome!

Good morning @Phillip Boyd thank you for your service and yes always GO TARHEELS (two time alumnus I can't help it!) Welcome to the BP family you're defiantly off to the right track just gaining knowledge and you will find an abundance of it here. I always recommend the podcast and seems like you're already diving in there as well so I would say keep up the god work you're already ahead of the game. I'm actually in Charlotte but my folks live about 30 mins outside Chapel Hill so when you're back state side be sure to let me know!
GOOD LUCK!!
