@Eric Mcginn You’re going rehab a property in California from Maine? To use as a vacation home 3500 miles away that makes little to no money? Am I missing something?

@Eric Mcginn wait you’re in escrow on a place that won’t rent? Or did I read that wrong?

@Han W. @Han W. I would want absolutely nothing to do with this but it doesn’t mean you can’t make money. Do your research. Make sure it’s legal. Find someone who’s making money in this building and ask them questions. If it’s a short term friendly building the apartment (condo?) most likely will not be warrantable. Start with this info and you’ll probably give up quickly and move on to a duplex in the ghetto where you can make money and not get reviews on the internet.

@Steve Neill Good advice from everyone. I’d leave 2 stars overall. 2 for communication. 1 for house rules. Then I’d say “they exceeded maximum number of guests and brought a dog to a pet free property”. Do you recommend. No. This is of course... if you trust your cleaners. Why is there an owner of your cleaning company that sounds sketch just work with a cleaning person directly. Do this now and let us know what their review said if you need to persue further action with AirBnB to get it deleted; or help with your response. Don’t get so hung up on reviews. Says the guy who pulls his hair out daily. AirBnB’s review structure is enough to put you in therapy.

@Tyler Dreher I self manage 8 doors remotely in 2 different markets, 5 of which are VRs; with a day job and a family and more self managed doors in the market where I live. It’s easy. Pm me and get me on the phone for an hour. Bring a pen.

Other than @John Underwood @Rhonda Blue and myself - there’s no way any of these comments were made by VR/STR self managing hosts. My best advice to OP is don’t listen to anyone that’s not having success in the field you’re looking to enter. Never buy a steak from a vegan.
