@Michael Sontheimer, Did  the entire episode focus on assisted living? I know Johnny Youseff rented 'weird' houses, and one of them was to an assisted living facility. I believe UBIT only applies to SDIRA, not SD 401(k).  

You may not have KNOWN they recertified employment before closing, but if you were getting a traditional mortgage, they absolutely DID recertify employment.

@Corey C., I would not use listed-but-not-sold properties in my CMA. You can list at literally any price you want. I'd only use sold properties.

That said, Do you have the funds to pay cash? If not, how are you going to purchase this house? If so, provide the proof of funds and go take a look at the property. 

@Sonia Rodriguez, I stopped reading at the point where he has 8 daughters with no will. 

I wouldn't take this property on. It's difficult enough to get 2 heirs to agree to something, trying to get 8 people on board would be too much for me to tackle. 

I don't want to be a downer, but I'd go back to the friend and tell him this. This will be a TON of work, just to untangle the ownership.

@Thripura Vemireddy, what city/state is the property in? Variances like this are super-local, and maybe someone with experience in that exact city or state can help.
