@Tara Brodersen Welcome to BP from Cheyenne! This site offers a wealth of information and I'm sure you will learn a lot. Sounds like you have a good plan in mind. As far as private investors, you can do some searches on this site for info about that. I know a lot of people say they find them from people they know, such as family and friends. @Ben Cochran if your house is in SE Wyoming I can ask some attorneys I personally know and work with for a good divorce attorney reference. Also, @Jerry W. may be able to recommend someone.

Welcome @Bill S.! I live in Cheyenne and bought my second rental (SF) here about a year and a half ago and it's been going very well. You are right in that Cheyenne is growing a bit (finally! I have been here from SoCal a little over 10 years and still experience culture shock from time to time!). I believe the state itself is the second largest employer here with a large majority of state employees based in Cheyenne. The only thing I worry about is rumors of the AFB closing but apparently those rumors have circulated for years. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
