Post: How To Afford A Lambo?

You need WAY MORE than $1500 a month to own a lambo. The oil changes will cost that much for example. Plus it deprecciates almost instantly after the first time you turn the key.

Also, who parks a lambo at a $100k house? I see people with $100k+ cars all the time living in 1 bedroom apartments, it just doesn't make sense.

You are young, pay off your debt from student loans etc, then save, then invest, then when you're 40 and you become suddenly aware of your mortality and have a midlife crisis, you can buy a lambo no problem.

Post: How do you determine the value of an idea?

When I did Ecommerce, I always validated an idea first before wasting a lot fo time on a project.

  • Make landing page for product
  • post to CL offering to sell said product to see if you get any bites
  • Buy $300 worth of traffic to landing page to see if you get any bites

If there is a demand and at least one or two people respond saying they want it, I just say I am backordered. I then spend several months actually building out the product line, website, marketing strategy etc.

If you do it the other way around and build it all first before validating the idea, than you may waste months of your time on an idea that no one will buy.

We've got a few Real Estate websites going right now, namely the one in my signature and www.DavidZahriya.com (still a WIP), BayAreaHomeValuesNow.com, WillowGlenHomeValuesNow.com, etc. If you guys need any help I'd be happy to walk you through it. We use wordpress on all of ours.

You just need to buy a wordpress template and then pay someone to set it up and then fill in your own content etc. You could alternatively just use one of the free templates but honestly those sites look horrible and you won't get many leads off them (trust me, I've tried). At least not in our area out in San Francisco, your millage may vary of course.

Protip: use Themeforest.com for wordpress templates, they have the best around hands down, and the widest selection.

I use Infusionsoft's Real Estate CRM myself but it's $700 per month so probably out of the price range you are referring to.

I used Base CRM in the past and that would be my primary recommendation as it's $15 per month and has everything any of the other ones have that you will need at the starter level. Zoho is another popular one but base is way better from a UI perspective IMO.

Adam, I have a blog that we use as part of our inbound marketing efforts and we generate a significant amount of traffic there each month. Quality content is the first step, but the most important step is how you PROMOTE it, otherwise no one reads it.

@Ben G, my door is always open, ask away! The general rule of thumb is that if it sounds too good to be true, it is. There's no good marketing that can be bought at the $200 price point IMO that would have any serious effect. I mean hell, just buying adwords will cost you more than that a month, and that's just basic level advertising.

I wrote a pretty solid white paper here that details my experience using landing pages and Facebook ads to generate some quality seller leads for one agent. If that link isn't Kosher with the management here because it's my personal blog than you can see it on my BP blog here.

To further elaborate, they aren't actually offering SEO services, and no proper SEO campaign can be had that cheap. They are claiming they do a bunch of stuff but it's likely all automated. You can get the whiteboard drawings on Fiverr.com for example for $5.

Also they claim they provide 15 backlinks per month but I guarantee 100% that they are trash backlinks that may even hurt your backlink profile.

I've been in this game for a long time, and I would say this is a service you should steer clear of. But that's just my opinion.

Well on one hand it is good for SEO to have social signals and have evergreen, unique content pushed out regularly and promoted on social media. We've had a lot of success on activerain as well which they say they will post to. $200 a month is a bit low tbh so I am guessing they are going to run some pretty generic content.

Keep in mind that for $25 per month you can use something like Content DJ or another aggregator that will autopost trending stuff for your chosen keywords (real estate etc). That seems to be like 90% of what this service is offering anyways.

3 reasons right now is the best time to buy a home

There has never been a better time to buy a home since 2014 began. And yet despite three major advantages for homebuyers, sales so far have been slow. Buying is cheaper than renting in most markets. And with mortgage activity down, originators, one would think, would be bending over backwards for applicants. More people want to be homeowners, even younger buyers. A recent Fannie Mae survey of younger renters and buyers finds that though most younger renters prefer owning, many of them may stay renters . . .

I'm not an agent but have a friend who is having trouble getting leads. What are you guys all doing, are you getting them through paid traffic to a website? Through flyers? Is there some service that provides the leads for $x per lead?

I know no one wants to give away their secret sauce, but I am just curious where agents are finding leads nowadays. His website is [REMOVED]
