Do they just earn interest, or some other percentage of the profit? If you can point me to some education on how to structure an agreement like this, I'd appreciate it!

What about St. Charles County? Right across the river and much less $$ for entry.

And the week after, I guess. I'll be at the Fasterhouse BUyers Club monthly meeting on June 7, on June 8 I'll be at Spazio for "Meet the Queen of Rehab" (not sure about this one, is she a guru?) and then on June 13 I'll be at the Southside Investment Club workshop. Would love to connect if anyone will be around!

@Paul Winka I have not flipped anything yet, but I don't know anyone who'd want to get into Ferguson right now. Hopefully, in a couple of years, they'll be rebuilding and who knows maybe it'll eventually be the place to be. But I'd steer clear now.

I would never spend any money on them, I do know that part is a rip-off. I was more wondering if it was a place to do any networking. Doesn't sounds like it at all, though! Thank you all for the responses.

Hi @Lee Carrell and @Peter MacKercher, thank you for the responses. I really don't want to be a broker, I was just thinking in terms of getting MLS access...then again, selling my own properties post-reno is appealing, too.
I'm honestly so excited about getting started I'm trying to absorb as much information as possible, and waiting for the REI groups to have their meetings has me antsy! Hahaha. I appreciate the help, I need to narrow my focus!

Thank you @Jonna Weber for the reply! I'm actually sort of relived to find that would not be your first step, as I'm not super keen to obtain a license right now. Maybe eventually, but I'm afraid it would just set me back, time-wise.

I have joined a couple of meetup groups, one being the Southside Investors, but the first meetings aren't for a couple of weeks. In the meantime I'm still trying to find some people to talk to. I'm in STC and chesterfield. Interested in wholesaling, flipping and possibly buy and hold eventually, probably in the St. Charles area. Wondering if I should get a real estate license? Any advice?
