Hello @Carol AldridgeGlover

Great to have you here on BP and in South Florida. I'm an agent investor myself and I recently moved to the Ft. Lauderdale area. I'm currently looking for local offline meetups/opportunities for networking in real estate investing here in South Florida. If I find any that I think are good I will send you a PM.

Much success to you!

Post: How Do You Choose A Real Estate Agent To Work With On Your Deals?

To The BP Community,

How do you go about evaluating the right agent to assist you in either the buying or selling transaction of your deals and eventually working with them long term? Especially if you are doing deals locally, from out of state and abroad. What must the agent possess that will make you commit to that person for a long term business relationship.

@Chris Bingham To rank locally if you are using Wordpress you should do the following:

1. Make sure your targeted city and state are in the title of your post.

2. Have your targeted city and state in the body of your content. I would even link the city and state keyword to wikipedia for onsite SEO.

3. Use the city and state in your tags. For Example if you are writing a post about "The Best Restaurants in Miami Fl" you would use keyword tags like "Best Brazilian Restaurants in Miami Fl", "Best Italian Restaurants In Miami Fl", "Best Greek Restaurants in Miami Fl", etc.

I know this thread is old but maybe you can still use the information for your own content marketing campaign.

Post: Using Virtual Assistants for real estate

I use virtual assistants frequently. Before hiring them make sure you know exactly what you want to outsource to them.

It would be good if you did the task yourself so that you can explain it better to them. Be very detailed and specific with what you want them to do. Video tutorials or screen captures work best.

Don't go for the cheapest outsourcer because they may not get the job done right and you are back at zero. Look at reviews and read the experience of others that used the person you want to hire.

Once you find someone to hire give them a 2-3 week probation period to make sure you have a good fit and workflow. Otherwise fire them fast and move on to the next candidate so that you are not wasting time. Hope that helps you out.

Thank you @Jonna Weber for the vote of confidence! I'm going to check out the interview you did on the BP Podcast #80. Just from looking at the topic it is a must listen for me. It's exactly how I plan on approaching this business. I'll be sure to leave a comment after listening. Thanks!
