Welcome @Lian Chavda

You will find a wealth of info here on BP.

I live in Grays Harbor County, about an hour and a half away from you. I am also an MA by trade, I work for a large hospital out of Olympia.

I, like you, realized that being in the medical field is not what I see myself retiring from when I get old and gray. I started researching about real estate investing seriously about 5 months ago and have not looked back. I am currently studying for my state broker's license, my long term goal is to own my own real estate firm one day.

Never stop learning, surround yourself with other who are more more successful than you, and do not take the word 'NO' for an answer.

To your success,

Tyrone

Hi @DeWayne Mann,

I am about 2 hours north of you. Glad you made the leap. There is a wealth of info here on the site just dig in! Others here on BP are really helpful so don't be afraid to ask questions.

I too plan on investing in multi units properties, but currently I am studying to get my broker's license.

See ya round!

Welcome @Blake Hufman

Always good to see a fellow Washingtonian on the site!

I myself am in the process of buying a fixer (foreclosure) so I can understand what you are going through.

I've only read numbers 3 and 4 so maybe I am biased. Both are great for expanding your mind to realize the possible and necessary steps involved in a deal. Happy reading!

Hey thanks for the insight Bill-

When you say that you lease optioned short sales back to the previous owners, what exactly does that entail?

So, after some extensive research and listening to various podcasts here on BP, I have found a couple of strategies that pique my interest.

I would like to initially fix and flip properties and then use the capital/leverage to buy and hold properties, possibly renting these properties out for passive income. My end goal is to have as diverse of a portfolio as possible and possibly supplement the income of my current job.

I have been reading about how fixing and flipping is a JOB. I understand that and would like to use that a a base or platform to move into more passive type strategies.

Has anyone out there had any success with this type of gameplan? Are there some things I should be aware of? I am curious to know any and all opinions on this? Thanks!

Tyrone

Awesome!!!!

Hoping to make it down from Grays Harbor. Fingers crossed!

I've lived here in Elma for 3 years now. I'm basically a city boy with a country side to me. There are definitely rural areas here that I know are prime for investing. Since  I was born and raised in Seattle I look at areas where I live now and see so many differences real estate wise. There's just more bang for your buck out here in Grays Harbor. I'm excited and honored to meet you all and I am here to learn and grow.

Brandon, I'm sure we will connect at some point. Good to now you're right down that country road.
