@Barbara G.

Thanks for the recommendation. Of course New York would be a great city to do something like this in. I will keep you posted as soon as I know a little more about their plans.

@Jay Hinrichs @Brie Schmidt

I would love to do one in Chicago maybe next as I already have a lot of contacts there as well. Maybe we can chat about seeing if it would work out.

Of course, at the end of the day it is really up to HD, but I know they are open to ideas.

Also @Brie Schmidt I am in Chicago now doing a dozen or so flips, if you would like to grab lunch or coffee sometime this week. That would be great. I leave on Saturday.

@Manolo D.

I am interested in LA.

What HD did was bring in the National Director as well as the VP of all PAR then the regional director of Par then several local Par members.

But more importantly they really laid out many things they would do for investors to help them grow their businesses.

It was really a great meeting.

If you can would you send me a PM so we can chat about doing one in LA.

Thanks

AC

@Nicole Pettis

Do you know how many investors you think would attend? Meaning have you been to any REI meetups in that area? How many investors normally attend?

Hey everyone,

Here in Atlanta we were able to have a REI Meetup at Home Depot Corporate Office. We had over 100 total people in attendance. And we were able to hear from Home Depot National Leadership Team as well as a Vice President of Home Depot.

We saw all new product and material from HD as well as heard about new programs coming out as well for investors. We had sessions about flipping houses, building new construction, as well as market updates and how to design a house.

We are looking to possibly go to another city with Home Depot and have another meetup like this, if you think your city investors would be interested please let me know. As we are looking for the next city.

@Jay Hinrichs @Brie Schmidt Maybe we could do one in Chicago with Turnkey Reviews??

@Jason McDougall

I have not personally worked with them, however I have a couple friends that have done business with them here is what I know.

They have funded well over 100 houses for them, and many many at the same time. So I do believe that have deep pockets and I know they fund. I was just talking to my friend about two days ago, and she said they had funded not only SFH but also a Hotel for her and a Mariana. So I would believe by that they are willing to look at about anything.

Anyways, I hope that helps a little.

Good Luck

Andrew

I  wanted to say thank you for everyone who attended our ATL Investor Meetup at Home Depot Headquarters.

We had a wonderful turnout with all levels of investors from newbies to investors doing over 20 million a year.

Atlanta Investors you had such a strong presence and powerful influence on Home Depot that they are now looking to take the event on the road to some other cities. I can honestly say that I am proud to be part of the ATL Investing Community.

@Stephen Watkins

Hello Bigger Pockets newest member!

I just wanted to take a moment and say hello as I also am an Atlanta-area investor. I live on the north-end of Atlanta but do most of my investing inside the city-perimeter. There are a couple good REIA's here in Atlanta that I would recommend you consider joining if you are not already a member. There are also some really good Atlanta-area investors on Bigger Pockets.

Here are a few tips for Bigger Pockets so you can get the most out of it:

Be sure to set up “keywords" for whatever type of investing you’re interested in with "Atlanta” obviously being the primary keyword.

Secondly, I try to read at least a blog per day, as well as listen to one podcast per week.

Lastly, try to get involved in the Bigger Pockets community. Don't be timid - share advice and ask questions!

Good luck. I hope to see you around Bigger Pockets as well as in the Atlanta-area market. I’m here if you have any questions!

Professional regards -

Andrew
