Steven Scheer it depends I guess. I try to think of other ways also. Hypothetically if you had a zero percent CC that would take you to 14 months out but able to refi at 12 months should be good. Since we are just bouncing off thoughts. If the place is ready to go and could be rented right away, the tenant could make the payment.

Ill let you know so we can get a walk through and see what your guys thoughts are. The work thing has been getting in the way. They are offering overtime so I am taking it. If I can get out of Monday, I'll let you know. I should know tomorrow whether I can.

@Mark Nolan Ok, say I go into a nursing home or assisted living. They can run quite expensive. Is their a way to protect my investments that are in my name without getting depleted through the nursing home. From my experience they want all your assets, so that leaves my spouse living off of just hers.

Hello all,

I have a question, How should a person protect their retirement accounts and assets if a spouse would end up in a situation where they need to be in assisted living?

Here is my thought and correct me if I am wrong or give me any suggestions. Say a person had 401k and some assets available in their name but before anything happens could they invest say with me and be some kind of silent partner. So their money is tied up with us, that way no one could see their assets. Could we do quick deed change on their house, if thats what you call it, to us also so everything is out of their name. then I would just give them a debt card in company name to use.

I am unsure how this works, maybe we should create a trust, I just finished listening to podcast 109@Joshua Dorkin, which was so informative. I suppose I should look for an asset lawyer to talk with.

Ok so we are interested in a property that came up for auction. It is happening at a title company. I have checked on back taxes, all current. I checked on any liens, none either. Is there anything else I should be watching out for?

Also We went to this place last week and they postponed it until this week. When the lawyer sited the case number, address and the the price they are asking. No one took any of these places. He said " ok case number, so and so, goes back to the plaintiff.

Who is the plaintiff?

Do I just pipe up when he makes price or how does it work?

I did a voice recording ill try and get it on here

Ok so my wife is purchasing a duplex tomorrow, which is awesome. Just happens the one next door is up for auction in 3 days at local branch. I know I should check on if any liens and or back taxes. What else should I look for? First auction don't want to screw ourselves. Thanks for any feedback.
