I assume you are getting your lic so you can have access to MLS etc? I have friends who JUST USE THEIR LIC for that primary reason, and don't pursue it as a business. They are hanging their lic with the Michael Group. I'm sure that's not the only one, but it probably is one of them. I also hear many are going with Expo Realty...but, I think they have a diff. structure and people can earn money through bringing other's into the business. That may or may not affect your experience if you just want to 'do deals'. However, you will be rubbing elbows with a lot of investors there is my perception.
This is from a perspective of a NON RE Agent...I'm just an investor who's been around about 15 years.
