My lease does say "service animals". But it also mentions "seeing eye dogs".... ""Pets" does not include animals trained to serve the handicapped, such as seeing-eye dogs, hearing dogs, or service dogs. These animals may be housed on the premises so long as they are in the direct service of those they were trained to serve and so long as Landlord is notified in advance in writing of the circumstances."

You do have a good point about them being kept clean and properly cared for.

I was just looking over my lease agreement and it has a clause about seeing eye dogs. This got me thinking, would you charge a pet fee for a tenant that needs a seeing eye dog?

Omar hit the nail on the head. It's always slower this time of year because people don't like to move in the cold. People also like to be settled for the holidays.

Well if it does pass and people are able to use it then there will be a lot (and I do mean a lot) of happy appraisers out there.
