@Kevin Finken - Welcome to BP! You will find Omaha has quite a few of us REI.
The podcasts and forums are probably the most valuable assets on BP and we know for a fact you're already using one of them!
@Matthew Smith & Kevin
I've never been to a MOPOA meeting, though they are often referred to at the Omaha1RIA meetings each month. They are a seasonal group and their meetings ended for the summer in May. They will be starting again in September according to their website. Here is the link.

Look forward to seeing you around!

@Scott Trench - This post is GOLD. I've listened to your Podcast at least twice now and seen god knows how many of your posts on the forums. Not to mention your actual blog posts themselves. Your stuff is always filled with good content (though you are the first to point out it might not be 100% correct haha). Probably one of the reasons you've experienced so much success recently is the fact other know you only have good intentions, have no problem being wrong in order to learn how to be efficient, and love to learn.
Keep up the good work Scott! I look forward to seeing you hit 2000 posts and the achievements you hit while doing it.

Hey my fellow Matt!
@Matthew Smith - Welcome to BP! There are tons of agents in Omaha, more of them than there is inventory at times haha. As @Scott Matthew C. mentioned, once you find a REI friendly agent they should have or at least be able to point you in the right direction of the missing members of your team.
I love that you have taken the time to plan out your business as a business, not just picking things up as you go. It will go a long way to smoothing things out as you go along I'm sure.
If you really want to find the best in our area just reach out and ask other investors who they are using. Just remember that no one is going to say they have the worst lawyer or the worst CPA. So trust but verify in these situations!
Good luck,

@Jared Heinen welcome to BP Jared!
It sounds like you're already taking advantage of all the resources here on BP. I'm glad to hear it!
What type of REI are you looking at getting into?
@Anthony Gayden - Hey Anthony!
I was in Dundee this weekend and couldn't help checking out the RE in the area. It has definitely grown since I moved to NE last year. A LOT of my friends want to live in the area.
For help with the going rents and such. There are websites like rentometer and padmapper that can give you a good general idea, Zillow can also show rental listings, Another way to figure that out is to find for rent signs and give their Property Manager a call and ask about it. They should have a good idea on the area as well.
@Ethan Hamilton - Ethan would be a good choice to use if you wanted to check out something in the area. I know he's near Gretna and probably passes through Dundee anytime he goes in to Omaha.

@Kyle Godbout - What is the economy like in Millard?
Do they have a lot of students or young professionals? I would think that they would be your target market for 1bdr apartments.

@Dean Boyer Welcome to BP Dean!
If you haven't yet, why not introduce your sons to BP and let them get a feel for the REI scene. They may prefer to live together, that is until they both saw rent checks coming in from their friends if they each bought their own house and hacked it with their friends!
