I started in real estate doing a houseback as well.

I would say go to google maps and identify a couple of initial areas that are within the commuting distance you desire. Next start doing some research on those areas, talk to local agents, and walk/drive around those areas that interest you the most. Attending local meet-ups and networking events are both great ways to meet real estate professionals.

@Yangyang Jin my friend @Darcy Reynolds is a rock star agent here in NJ. Her and her team are very good guiding you though acquiring your first deal and they also come across a lot of off-market deals.
