Hello

Can the dishwasher be hardwired. Is there the new code requirements for the dishwasher to be connected to GFCI ?

Good suggestion 👍

If it's not that and you can't figure it out easily then you should probably just call an electrician.

I do not do the electrical repairs except troubleshooting. Check the breakers some times they get faulty. If you are comfortable checking the breaker.

Guy came but he was no help.
he said can say doable or not after removing all the drywalls!

Anyhow I did more digging and found that vent pipe is going in to upstairs bathroom. I can not move the vent one bay because there is a bathroom vanity.

Please help me, I’m think but not sure it’s a good idea. simple and easy option is to disconnect vent going to the bathroom but there will be no heat/cold in the bathroom.

Bathroom is 6X9

Well.. you got yourself a big beam right there in the way of a straight shot for the HVAC duct. You can't cut that beam to run that size duct. I would guess you could hug the ducting up closer to the beam and have a shorter soffit... unless there is another open shot through the attic then you may be out of luck.

Also.. if your HVAC guys says he can do it then make sure you verify that he can do it without cutting any joists. Some HVAC guys will take a sawzall to a main joist without a second thought.

As you suggested I will check with HVAC guy if he can move the duct to next beam for straight shot.

I agree with you I won’t do for rental.

I have 30” kitchen cabinet and 12” soffit. I’m trying to remove the soffit  and I found the HVAC duct in the soffit box. Any suggestion how I can reroute the duct ?

Thank you
