Are they licensed and insured and tell them you will be checking...what kind of contractor are they ( yes there are different kinds) and can they pull all the required permits...how many other projects do they have going on...do they have a dedicated team or do they hire subs off Craig's List...what is the penalty for not completing the project on time ( this is VERY important !!! )

Has anyone had experience with this ? There are 3 different houses with 3 different addresses and past due mortgages and they are all going under one foreclosure judgement. Does the bank combine the 3 amounts owed into one asking price ? I want to get just one of the properties if possible but sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen. Why would a judge combine them all into one package deal ? 

I should have been clear the house is done except for passing CO but there is no power to the house...all I wanted to know is if it can get a CO with a generator ...and of course I would not pay until it does...

My contractor is 3 months behind completing a house I am building as a rental...he dropped the ball his words on getting the electric pole and meter box scheduled...so now there is no power for at least another 6 weeks...he said he can pass the CO by hooking up a generator and then I have to pay him the final draw...that can't be right can it...how can he pass a CO with a generator...I know I can call the county on Monday just curious if anyone has heard of this ?

I'm always in a minority but I think the blue tile is retro pretty ...is there room for a sink and cabinet ?

If you put the $10000 down and get the deal can you make the numbers work with just the one side of the duplex ...I know the IT IS A BUSINESS crowd will speak different but how can you kick old sick grandma out on the street...and if she leaves will the sons go too ?
