Hey Federico, welcome to Bigger Pockets. The point of these forums is to pick the brains of those with information we may not otherwise have access to! Don't be apologetic, everyone starts somewhere, just like you said.
I'm not certain what exactly you're asking or if you're simply introducing yourself, but STR acquisition can be a fantastic investment if you know what it is that you're looking for and you do your research-which is sounds like you are. Best of luck and I would love to connect more!

This is just overall so impressive- great job! Saw this because it got a recent boost but congratulations overall!
Hey congratulations on acquiring an STR in such a great market. I would suggest reading, "Short Term Rental Long Term Wealth" by Avery Carl. There is a wealth of fantastic advice as to the ins and outs of managing and comprehending the challenges and how to navigate an STR.
Hey Waneeshe- congratulations on getting started.
OOS investment can be tricky but if you've done your research and know what you're looking for, then definitely go for it. Dallas, in particular, has cracked down on some forms of investment real state in recent months but that doesn't mean there aren't ways to make it work.
As far as building your team, I would love to connect and discuss exactly what it is that you're looking for!

As far as meeting and connecting in person, I highly suggest checking out Meetup. In larger cities like Boston, there are frequently events that are worth attending in order to get your foot in the door in your market.

Hey Corbin- a great book that goes through the ins and outs of the BRRRR method in great detail is this one: https://store.biggerpockets.com/products/buy-rehab-rent-refi...
It's written by BP's own David Greene and it gives lots of helpful advice and inside knowledge on the realities of the process. Nice job getting started so young!!!

I definitely think that you would benefit greatly from in-person networking. Given that you are looking to find deals off-market, you will succeed a lot faster if you have good, personal relationships with people in the industry.

Two book that I really liked are the BRRRR Method book by David Greene and the STR handbook, Short-Term Rental Long-Term Wealth by Avery Carl. Both of these are great books for getting started in REI!
I agree with everyone here! House hacking is a great strategy if you're willing to live with people that you may not know. Melbourne is a great market for both the house-hacking strategy and for multifamily STRs!
