Hello @Mary Ann Casey,

Again, I am deeply saddened for you, this is such a heartbreaking story. I know I am still new here, but "4 tenants in the past 16 months"!!? They ARE doing something wrong! I know no PM company is perfect, but there is ZERO excuse for going through a new (TERRIBLE!) tenant every 4 months! This company IS taking advantage of you, and I am not an attorney, but is there not legal action you could take?

Seriously, any PM company you use, triple cross check, and talk to as many people and companies you can before using them. I am not sure of the rules regarding this, but should we not as BiggerPocket members and investors KNOW who this company is, so as to AVOID this from happening to us? This should be shouted from the rooftops. There is absolutely no excuse for this to have happened.

Mary Ann, best wishes to you, thank you for keeping us posted.

Yes, @Todd Burton, I agree with @Matt K. and @Jay Hinrichs

I would get a restraining order, and keep my S&W 9mm or Sig .45 close.

Thanks, @Jay Hinrichs and @Matt K. I didn't know the precise rules about posting his (Probably) fake name and the email address, so I did not post them. Wow, crazy that a person thought that 20 Million was real. Yikes.

The email said "5%'. Right! Ha!

Best!

@Todd Burton, be careful. People nowadays are beyond freaky. That is one scary situation and I am so glad the police have the threat. That is just unbelievable .

Best to you.

BiggerPockets members be on your guard against those who would try to rip you off and scam you out of money or otherwise!!

Now that BP is almost 1 Million strong, there are "Con~Artists" who would prey on the unaware to try to steal money or otherwise. I just got an email that was someone introducing himself as the owner of a RE property investment firm. The body of the email went on to say he wants to invest 1.5 Million in real estate properties in the USA. It went on to say he would send the money and expect a 5% return over 5 years. It's the old proverbial "Nigerian Prince" with multi~millions to invest overseas, and "YOU" have been chosen. I know it sounds silly, and I, or most of us, would never send one dollar, but there might be some that could benefit from this information. On the flip side, I do get important and credible emails from, Brokers, Agents, Lenders, etc...

I know most of us, within reading the first sentence, would know it is a "Scam", but I just wanted to post this for everybody to be super~aware of the times we live in. It's bad enough that some investors here put out tens of thousands of dollars for an investment property, only to find out that what was sold to them was not the precise property, area, or investment the person had thought and agreed to have bought. Be aware!

O.K., enough of my yammering, please just be careful.

Thanks for reading.  :)
