Good Morning BP!

I'm about to begin a project in Ormond Beach, FL, and the house will not pass muster for a normal homeowners policy at the moment.  I'm told by an insurance agent that I need a "Builders Risk" policy to cover me during the rehab phase.  Looking for any advice or comments on this recommendation, and if it is indeed what I need, who have you found to be the best source for this type of policy?

We lived in England for about 12 years prior to retiring in Florida, so I am familiar with the issue. I believe that there are international banks  such as Barclays, Deutchbank, etc., where you can open an account in a US branch and also in a UK office, and link the accounts in order to transfer money back and forth easier. That may lessen the fees, but you are always going to have exchange rate differences, and you will struggle to get around that. I would try to stockpile the dollars and time it if possible to transfer when the rate is the most favo(u)rable, which with present world conditions, could take patience!

Not sure I  understand  the question. We have operated an Airbnb from our primary home, yes.

I know it's a plus from my viewpoint. In a primary home, potential Airbnb opportunity.
