Hi @Sidney Qiu and welcome. I invest in Indy myself from California and would be happy to answer any questions. There are a lot of shady contractors, many bad property managers and more wholesalers then you can count. If you have questions about specific people/companies I'm happy to answer if I know them.

Good luck in Indy!

Hi @Craig Carmichael, if you're looking to build a team I suggest starting with a PM. Find one who specializes in the investment class you are looking for and don't pinch pennies on PM's they will be you eyes and ears.

If you want to run some names of PM's by me feel free.

Good luck.

@Nigel Garrett people are quiet because there are few DEALS to be had these days. Are you looking outside Indianapolis? There are a few areas I've heard about and I'd love to invest there myself but the deals are scarce at best.

I have no input on deals done that screwed investors but I want to point out that I have purchased a number of properties in Indianapolis from certain wholesalers and they have treated me right every single time. They even passed along a discount once that they negotiated down from the seller to me. They could have just kept it for themselves.

All I want to point out is that not ALL wholesalers are a blight on a city that has been really improving.

Hi Rafael,

I just started a meet up in Los Alamitos, it's already set for this Wednesday but if you're looking to share your location maybe next month we can hold it there.

What do you think?

Hi All,

I'm pretty sure I'm not breaking any rules now, I became a paid member of BP so I could create an event. It's this Wednesday June 27th, 7pm at Taco Surf in Los Alamitos. Here is a link to the event and I hope to see you there.

Welcome to the Los Alamitos/Long Beach/Seal Beach & Beyond Real Estate Meet Up. This is a monthly meet up held at Taco Surf on Los Alamitos Blvd just a couple minutes from the 405/22 freeways and even closer from the 605 freeway.

It is FREE and general topic, ask questions and we will try to help each other answer them. We will cover many topics including local and out of state investing, notes, lending, property management, buying, selling and much more.

There will be NO pitches or sales at the event but there will be food for sale being that it's at a restaurant. I ask that anyone that can afford something buys some food or drink as a thank you for the manager allowing us to use their facility.

Location:

Taco Surf, WEDNESDAY JUNE 27th at 7PM

10542 Los Alamitos Blvd, Los Alamitos, CA 90720

Please reply here if you can attend so I have an idea of numbers and feel free to just stop buy even if you don't RSVP.

Hope to see you there,

Jeb Brilliant
