The plan to return to GR and stand up a resilient REI Club with interconnect-ability between the other Clubs is slated for April! Chicago just went live!

Everyone thinks they know the best places to invest, Ca, the south east, Cincinnati, your back yard...

But, there is NO city that I hear more contention on than the city of Chicago. The third coast has ample opportunity...and haters. As one of the 20 Amazon finalists we need to re-examine the question, "Chicago, STUD or dud?"

@Kenneth E. I moved to Chicago and when I did there didn't seem to be much interest. Some of the members started getting more into bitcoin (blech). I am working on systematizing our other Club's processes and technologies and will be bringing it back the the QC once I get a leadership team who wants to continue the previous Club's successes and connect the QC with our Clubs around the Midwest. Also, we will be having a Midwest Investor's Summit and Networking event and we will sell out. Its going to be in Chicago this year May 11-13th. Keep your eyes peeled here on BP for the announcement as to when tickets go on sale. We'll only have 225 tickets.

Shawn, you have a very smart strategy. The QC is a place you can do very well, but as I've always told people from outside the area...its best to partner your way in. There are just so many considerations one has to make and getting a GC is nearly impossible right now.

Hi @Allison Massey, I've been very involved in the Quad Cities market. Bettendorf is going to be tough to find a turnkey duplex that makes above 1%. @Michael Pease is the only PM I'd go with out there. He also has a very strong finger on the pulse of the market and is networked well into the investor pool. He may be able to assist you with finding a property.

@Sarah Manshel as someone who follows a number of Midwest markets and has started a number of REI Clubs with other investors I will suggest that you can invest in ant market with the right partner who has boots on the ground. @David Greene just came out with a new book about buying out of state that you should check out also. But, my best suggestion is to partner up with an SME in whatever location you are looking to get into.
