@Leanne Robinson

Yes, Yes, No.

Detroit is just a place you have to more invested in as far as your team, knowledge, surroundings, and time. It is not about the money in Detroit since homes are priced low. It is everything else involved that matters more. When you can get that together you will have really good cash flow in all your homes you buy here.

Hey @Keneale McKenzie,

Their are some massive homes here in Detroit, I personally don't like them becuase it means more work lol. I tend to stay under 1500 sq ft when investing here in Detroit. The beautiful thing about Detroit is that builders back then made some very good homes so I always like how they look.

Have fun on BP learning its a good place to be apart of!

@Kyle Shankin does bring up really good points, "A lot of the area's need cleaning up still and you may end up with a house that needs more repairs than it's worth."

That is very good advice and have seen out of state investors deal with those problems.

@Kelli P. I just think the price point is easy entry for newbies and the experience from investing here will make you a warrior lol. Either way you go, you can make money with buy and hold anywhere if you buy and manage correctly. I do see it being a durable long haul buy and hold strategy. I want to answer that but could be a long written list with explanations. Even the nicer areas can have a bad street.

@Kelli P. ,

I think it is a good spot for a newbie, there isn't an easy market anywhere. Investing in Detroit forces you to learn and adapt. I jumped in and made mistakes but turned out to be the education I needed. Yes, you should invest in Detroit. Yes, it will be an experience that will change your life. You will cash flow. You will have fun!!!!

Wooooooooooo!!!
